Since 1985: I moved to San Francisco after college where, I studied to be a pastry chef. In 2001, I relocated to Manhattan to study natural food cookery and Holistic healing. Last september I married Vishan Dookhu.
What I remember from High School: I remember... failing algebra in 9th grade and having to make it up in summer school...the Redskins winning the Superbowl and skipping school for the Parade...Principal Hudak and Mrs. Gutoff the music teacher...the Maynard Ferguson and the Buddy Rich concerts...always sitting in behind Kerri Hutchison and in front of Susan Ivey...praying my braces would be off by senior pictures...taking driver's ed in the summer I turned 15 and a half and not taking the bus anymore ...taking the SATs on a saturday in an unheated classroom...Tim Burton's F in physics...senior car wash and an outrageously muddy truck filled with beer cans...Homecoming...Prom in a big pink Cinderella gown...and being best friends with Jeannette Wong and Janet Moss.
I remember my senior year in Band being the best with Anil Kshepakaran, Janet Moss, Allison Welch, Todd Payne and Lisa Yee and all the underclassmen. There are memories of roller skating, rainy day picnics at Wheaton regional , the Texas chainsaw massacre movie, Farrell's for ice cream sundaes, all county band competitions, pool parties, video nights and of course, McDonald's and Pizza hut.
